Point 1
-To prepare for their future life.
- Sports do not promise successful life - become rich
- They need to maintain their performance if they do not have permanent jobs
- When they become old, no more job offers and no money to spend.
- Example: Shazlin Zulkifli who is former no. 1 Asian pin bowler. She has a degree in sports science. Now, she owns Runsa Tenpin in Mutiara Damansara at The Curve. She acts as a manager and also a trainer.
- Thus, all athletes should have a degree in order to help their future life.
Point 2
- Increase performance
- Athletes who have a degree usually will perform much better than other athletes who are not educated.
- The athletes will have more knowledge about the techniques, skills and also strategies to win the game.
- The athletes can manage themselves better. - Not easily give up.
-Example: A good football team is not seen by their ability. Good ability without great ideas – lose.

- refute the statement that athletes only perform in sports, but not in academic.

2. MOST STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS ARE A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Introduction
·
A dream for students-better
achievement (result)-scholarship-further studies
·
Agree with the title that
study-abroad is a waste of time and money because students misuse the government's
money, time is not spent studying and courses taken are not recognized in
Malaysia
·
Body
Point 1 –students misuse the government's money
s
·
Might-tempted to buy things
that are not found in Malaysia-West (Europe and Britain)
For example - limited
edition of bags and high heels which are quite expensive for a student
·
Spend the money for holiday
purposes-think that the money will never cease; do not value the money and
not spend it wisely .
Point 2
-time is not spent studying
-time is not spent studying
·
Countries that experience
4 seasons-most students choose these countries-tempted to experience all
different seasons-when they are stress with their studies-spend the time to enjoy and forget about study.
·
Make new friends-culture shock
and end up following their lifestyles
Eg: wild party,
clubbing-bring back yellow culture.
So, time is not spent on studies but other unimportant matters.
So, time is not spent on studies but other unimportant matters.
Point 3
-Take courses that are not recognized in Malaysia
-Take courses that are not recognized in Malaysia
· Courses that are
offered by other countries - do not fulfill the qualifications that Malaysia
requires
·
One of the cases-a Malaysia
student took medical course in a university in Russia-came back to
Malaysia-unemployed because the degree was not recognized.-waste of time and money.
Conclusion
·
Study-abroad programs give more
disadvantages than advantages.
